Dominic continued to laugh, though forced to muffle the noises as he buried his head in the mattress, again on his knees as he now clutched his aching sides, keeping his face next to the dog until the father was down the stairs, his hand raising, pounding vigorously onto the mattress as he kept his head buried on the bed. It was beginning to hurt. He didn't know when the last time he'd laughed in such a way was. Certainly, years. Perhaps he would find amusement here.

((There are no stairs... One story house... xD))
Mala stormed over and kicked the vampire in the side--not that it would help. Her foot probably hurt worse, now, than Dominic's side... "Stop! You're such an not a very nice person," she growled, keeping her voice low. She could still hear her father moving around the house, getting ready to leave. Moments later, as the front door slammed shut, Mala moved to her door. "Vertigo, out," she ordered, as she opened the door. The dog obeyed, and Mala, after pausing to shut off the computer, followed. She slammed the door shut behind her, hoping that Dominic might stay behind, and headed straight for the kitchen.

((my bad))
Dominic continued with his muffled laughter until he couldn't bare any more and lifted his head, laughs rattling through the whole house. Good he was gone by now. Yes, he'd barely felt the kick as he tried to lessen the outburst, using the bed to help support him up, finally standing, he kept with the support for a good long while before he let out nothing but me chuckles. He watch with amusement as she left, opening the previously slammed door to follow her, staying clear of sunlight on the floor.

Mala heaved an irritated sigh as he followed her. She knew he would, but it was still disappointing. "Are you done yet?" She glared at the giddy vampire as she shoved half of a left-over steak from the evening before in the microwave. "It's really annoying," she pointed out, referring to his previous, uncontrollable laughter.

“Ah, who's to say that I am?” Dominic shrugged, following the girl as he glanced at the steak with little to no interest before returning his gaze to her, thingying his head lightly, a smile lacking for a brief moment, a smirk again playing on his lips. “Yes....it may seem annoying. That, or it's just your period that's making you so irritable.” he spoke, eyes cold before he sharply turned, again continuing with his chuckles, much more quieter this time, though banging on something persisted this time. “Your period......dear god, I don't see how he believed you, if I was the one bursting out laughing...” he managed to breathe out.

((Haha. Thingying. Did you mean cocking? xD))
She glared at him, not surprised that she knew her "period" claim was a lie. "Why shouldn't he believe me? He doesn't exactly follow my time of the month," Mala pointed out. She seemed completely unfazed by the conversation as she eagerly pulled the now steaming steak out of the dinging microwave and stabbed a freshly retrieved fork and knife into its juicy flesh. Predictably at her side, Vertigo had already started drooling and licking her chops at the sight and smell of the steak.

Dominic laughed harder once again, almost fearing spasms from the wave of laughter he was experiencing. Oh, this had to stop sometime soon. He forced himself to stop, glancing over at her as she retrieved the meat that had been reheated in the microwave, trying to force himself back into his nonchalant state. Having interaction with someone was really pulling him so quickly out of his shell, it was frightening. “Maybe her blood was that tempting....to draw me in....” he thought, staring at the girl before he shook his head, dismissing the thought. “Horribly unlikely.” he murmured to himself, straightening up. “I'd hope not....disturbing father to watch his daughter's health THAT attentively...”

She glared at him as he went on laughing. Again. It was kind of creepy, considering how serious he had been the night before, and much of this morning... "What are you? Bipolar or something?" She asked finally, ignoring the comment about disturbing fathers. She shook her head as she cut into the slab of tender meat yet again.

"You can think that if you like..." he shrugged, glancing at the plate before he gave an attempt at ruining her appetite, jumping and setting his vampiric rear on the spot very close to the plate, smirk broadening. "But, if you ask me, I'd say I'm...more...open, I guess. But that's just MY own opinion." he murmured, patting her head as if she were a child.

Mala jolted as he hopped up onto the counter; she hadn't been expecting it. "Ged opp my counner," she ordered through a mouthful of food, ignoring the fact that he was speaking, as well. As Dominic's hand touched her head, she flinched out of the way, now swallowing the bite. "Cut it out. I'm serious." She moved away, back toward the wide doorway. Vertigo followed her, though the dog was far more focused on the steak than any perceived threat the teasing vampire posed. 'He's dangerous,' she reminded herself mentally. For some indiscernible reason, she had let down her guard... Now she steeled herself once more, and forced herself to remain aware of her surroundings--especially making sure she didn't back herself into a corner.
