Mala ignored his somewhat morbid assurances. "Stop.. It hurts," she gasped, wincing as he pressed harder into his neck. She grated her teeth, partly an attempt to hold back the little tears gathering in the corners of her eyes.

"Just abit more.." he growled, snapping because, even if he didn't know it, he couldn't tear his lips away. He hadn't fed in weeks, and even worse, her blood was so delicious to him, he didn't want to stop. He clutched tightly to her hands, struggling to fight against his instincts. Through an enormous amount of brain struggle, he managed to move his lips away. Surely it was also great help that he at least fed, even abit.

Mala gasped in relief as the vampire managed to pull away from the wound on her neck. She shrank away from him, as far as she could with her back to the tree and his hands clutching hers. Now that the terrifying experience had ended, she could feel a surge of absolute fury welling up in her chest. Her teary, wide-eyed expression almost immediately began to turn into one of anger and annoyance. She glared at him, wanting to simply smack the bloodthirsty vampire, but a combination of his grip and her blatant lack of any strength or energy what-so-ever after such extensive blood loss kept her from doing anything rash.

Dominic couldn't help but smile, despite his mental weariness."I told you to tell me where you lived.." he sighed, scooping the girl up in his arms."It wasn't for me to leave your corpse on the doorstep or anything.." he sighed, his expression calm as he began to walk towards the town. He moved his tongue to the side of mouth, taking the last bit of blood he would have for the night.

Mala simply glared at him weakly, her eyes and their lids shifting constantly as she tried to focus. Her vision was blurry after the ordeal. As she realized her hands had been released, Mala threw one arm up to stem the already slowed bleeding with the end of her coat sleeve. "You do realize," she began weakly, "that I trust you even less now, right?" Even her voice was weak and shaky, and her breath came faster than usual. It was times like this that Mala wished she would think, once in a while, to bring some sort of food source besides a few dollars and a couple rat treats when she went on these aimless little treks of hers. She pressed her lips together, into a thin line, as she weighed the 'pros' and 'cons' of telling him where she lived. She closed her eyes for a moment. "Fine..." she grunted, opening her eyes once more and glancing at the nearest street sign. "Go straight for two more blocks and take a left... I'm the third house on the right..." She closed her eyes once more as she explained the directions.

"Oh, come now, it's not like I can't find anything about you through the internet or slipping through the shadows.." he sighed, rolling his eyes. He stayed in silence, wondering why she was silent for such a long time. He stared down at her in surprise, wondering why she told him where she lived. He couldn't help but feel a smirk on his lips, decide to follow the emotion it gave him."What happened to not trusting me?" he chuckled, following her directions."Now I can easily just go into your room without you noticing.." he said smoothly, with a small hint of playfulness.

Mala glared at him in annoyance. "It's not like I can get home myself," she pointed out. "I feel like I just donated way too much blood to a greedy blood drive..." She groaned weakly as she said this last, and shakily wiped off a cold sweat that had gathered on her forehead. "Besides.. It wouldn't be that hard for you to figure out where I live, anyway..." She considered elaborating on this, but decided she didn't care enough in her weakened state.

"hmmm...that is a good point.." he chuckled, continuing to walk, hesitating for a VERY brief moment as he stepped on the cement. He looked around, avoiding the streetlights as much as he could. No one out. "...Wow, you really ARE an idiot....walking in the woods when everyone is knocked out from sleeping pills and c**p.." he blinked, taking a left after he passed two blocks. He stared at the building, holding back a laugh."....are you serious?" he asked with a strained voice."THIS is your house..." he murmured, setting her down on the sidewalk."Do you want to take a breathe before you enter?" he asked.

Mala cast a glare at him as he set her down. "Yeah... What's wrong with it?" she grunted, closing her eyes and standing stock-still as the sudden shift from horizontal to vertical sent her into a painful dizzy spell. Inside the house, a low, bellowing bark started up at the sound of their voices, and, after a moment, a large white dog with variously sized patches of black shot up into view between the curtain and the window pane. Mala smiled meekly at the sight of the elderly Great Dane, who continued to bark quite pointedly at the vampire. After a moment or two of barking, a man's shout barely breached the volume of Vertigo's bark--truly a poor attempt at getting the old girl to quiet down. Without bothering to look at her vampiric stalker, Mala held out a hand. "Can I have my rats back?" She asked, a slight tone of sarcasm sneaking into her voice.

"Nothing, I ...just expected it to be more...trashy.." he chuckled before he glanced to the door."Wow, noisy family.." he blinked, handing her the rat carrier. He smirked, looking at her weak state."I'll be sure to have your for some food...next time.." he murmured before he brushed his lips to hers."I'll be keeping an eye on you.." he whispered before finally walking away, turning the corner."Don't want my food to disappear " he laughed as he waved one hand.

Her heart pounded with a sudden rush of terror as he essentially promised to seek her out next time he got hungry. She pulled back, slightly repulsed, as he, essentially, kissed her. It was hard not to admit that the revulsion was mostly a result of the salt and copper smell of her own blood on his breath. She watched, trembling slightly in fear as he departed, laughing almost... happily... in his own reference to her as food.
"Mala? That you, hun?"
Mala jerked back to reality at the sound of her father's voice. He'd managed to get Vertigo under control, and now had the front door open. "Hey dad..." She responded weakly, covering up the bloody bite on her neck to the best of her ability as she walked sluggishly up the steps and into the cozy little house. She paused at the rats' cage, large, intricate, and located on the back wall of the front room, parallel with the front window, to release the still somewhat frightened Oreo and Odie. She closed the wire door once more without a word, and turned in the direction of her bedroom. "Night, dad.." she called meekly. She was suddenly, overwhelmingly grateful, as she led Vertigo--currently wiggling about like a puppy in greeting--into her bedroom, that the house was only one story.
"Ah.. G'night, then, I guess..." Will answered uncertainly as he watched his strangely out-of-it daughter's zombie-like trek to her bedroom. The middle-aged man shrugged loosely as he re-locked the front door and went back to bed, himself, unaware that he should probably be a lot more worried about Mala being out quite so late, let alone her uncharacteristic exhaustion.

"Ah, d**n....you brought the dog in?" he growled, lifting himself in through the window, blinking as she entered."Really, how many d**n pets do you have.." he said, raising an eyebrow."He looked around the room."Wow...it smells faintly of you..and the animal...but hen again it is YOUR room.." he shrugged, leaning against the window sill, moving his legs to each side so they wouldn't be huddled. Long legs needed space after all.mmm...I'm bored.." he murmured, moving the palm of his hand to his forehead, his fingers moving past his bangs."Man, I wish I wish I could sleep sometimes.." he murmured, closing his eyes.

Mala stopped in her tracks, her hand still on the handle of the closed door. Vertigo growled at the unfamiliarity of the vampire, then whined slightly, looking briefly to Mala for guidance before backing up a step and releasing a short, low warning bark. Mala glared at the disturbingly comfortable vampire. "Go away, I don't have enough energy to deal with you," she ordered in a quiet voice. She didn't want to put her dad in danger by attracting his attention, let alone deal with the constant inquiries that would come if he mistook the bloodthirsty monster in her window for a--she suppressed a shudder at the thought--boyfriend. Mala let go of the door handle, calming the still growling dog with a soft pat on the head. She kept a suspicious eye on him as she moved across the room to her dresser, only half a foot shorter than herself and piled high with laundry she had yet to put away. "If you're bored, go find something else to do," she suggested, a hint of malice coloring her voice as she pulled a pair of sweatpants out of the dresser and shoved the drawer shut with unnecessary vigor. Vertigo, still uncertain of the situation, heaved herself onto Mala's bed and laid down slowly, easily taking up half of the bed even in her alert state.

"Yeah, I think I'll to a GAY bar.." he said sarcastically, keeping his eyes closed."I told you I was going to keep an eye on you. Take it as stalking or gaurding, whichever you prefer, I don't care.." he murmured, ignoring the growling dog. He opened his eyes, gazing at the moon."I can't sleep...and so I'm up day and night..much more things to do in the day..some things I can't do.." he murmured."Smart thing to do by the way...with your family. Don't bother to telling them anything or having them bust in here.."

"Then pretend to sleep," she suggested, her tone still sharp. Vertigo whined slightly, shifting to look at the all-too-obviously upset Mala before returning her vigilant, blue-eyed gaze to the vampire. Mala set her jaw, her teeth pressing together to the point that they started to hurt after a few moments. She continued to glare, irritated, out of the corner of her eye at the vampire as she slipped off her socks, shoes, and jeans, and slid on the much more comfortable sweatpants.
