Her eyes grew wide, and she immediately smacked a hand over the bite on her neck once more. "No!" she responded, her voice high pitched and somewhat frantic at the suggestion. For a moment, she considered turning on the shoddy little second hand web cam Roxanne had given her for her last birthday, at the very least to keep the vampire at bay for risk of his secret being exposed. Mala took a deep breath to steady herself, and aimed a carefully composed, "fearless" glare. "In that case, I guess I don't know you, so you should get out or I'll call the police," she threatened half-heartedly, one hand inching to the keyboard to type a message into Emily's awaiting messenger window. Okay, so the internet wasn't as directly threatening as a phone, but the only phone in her room was a good six feet away, on the nightstand next to the vampire.

"Relax, I'm not going to bite you NOW...I won't need it for awhile, in fact.." he sighed, rolling his eyes."Anyways, my name's Dominic. Dominic Ruido, in fact.." he murmured, his eyes on the webcam."And your right. I can't afford bad publicity.."

Mala pursed her lips and continued to glare at him as she thought for a long moment, still picking and pulling at the bite on her neck in an attempt to make the sudden itch go away. In this moment of pondering, it occurred to her that maybe a mosquito had gotten in through the open window and bitten her next to Dominic's bite, probably attracted by some stupid little hint of blood she so happened to have missed in the shower... That would be her luck. She pulled herself out of the little reverie quickly, pulling her hand away from the slightly red spot on her neck as she finally went to answer him. "Fine then, Dominic Ruido," she responded, putting a sarcastic and somewhat pregnant dogy (though this latter wasn't completely intentional) tone on her already irritated voice. "Doesn't sound like I'm getting rid of you any time soon..." This last was said in a somewhat sad, disappointed tone. She paused for a long moment, having not much else to say--then it occurred to her... "Why bother?" She asked suddenly, straightening up in her chair suddenly, as if something had startled her. She only then realized, as she put her feet back on the ground, that Vertigo had left alongside her father and the bread crumb-littered plate. "If you weren't planning on feeding off a human--" she surprised herself a little with this one; she hadn't realized she'd been paying that close attention to his earlier mumblings, "--and you've been doing just fine before last night, why are you bothering to follow me around of all people?" She only remembered as she finished speaking that she'd easily guessed what he was the night before, but she ignored this fact as a quickly-following thought pointed out that he could have taken care of that "problem" (it made a shiver run down her spine as she imagined how he could "take care of the problem" as her own mind had so lovingly put it) without being quite so hands-on about it. As she waited for his excuse, some distant, relaxed portion of her brain registered the excited shouting of her little brother as her father put some little kid movie (probably that little Diego kid from Nickelodeon's weekday morning line-up, or maybe the painfully old Rollie Pollie Ollie from Mala's own childhood) in the VCR, out in their cluttered living room.
((Oh man, I even started to confuse myself a little bit when it got to the in depth thought processes.. A little sad, since that's how my brain works. xD))

"So...you want to hear my story of what happened before I met you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, having been greatly distracted by her constant change of expressions."Well, for starters, I had to go somewhere ELSE for a photo shoot, and I didn't have NEAR enough tie alone to hunt, so I was starving for quite awhile. With no substance and my thirst growing I had no chance of holding back completely on the blood you spilled. Besides, you smelled really good.." he said simply, leaning back, the rash slowly weakening."And I decided to follow simple you because your reactions to all my actions intgued me...and I'd like to have several more tastes of your blood.."

((hey, I'm rereading the portion of fallen angel's hotel that I was actually in, so it'll be awhile probably before I get back to PMs...))
"Fine," she mumbled as he asked her if she wanted to hear his side of the story, though her response didn't seem to matter much as he started. Her face fell even further as he finished explaining himself. "Great. Go figure. My own nonconformist lifestyle is gonna get me killed by one of my favorite supernatural creatures," Mala commented, rolling her eyes slightly and slumping in the swivel chair--which, of course, squeaked in protest. She narrowed her eyes slightly, as she realized a certain little thing he'd said before the mention of her reactions. "Wait... I smelled good. Smelled? Past tense? Does that mean I stink now?" She asked, her eyes growing wide slightly in hope. Also, she couldn't suppress the smile that broke onto her face at this last little shred of hope for her blood supply.

Dominic raised an eyebrow."Yes, basically your noncomformist attitude did draw me in....that and your easy offense to compliments in past tense make me even more curious." he shrugged, relieved that the itch was going away. "but no, you still smell nice, even more after you showered not long ago. Sorry, but you can highly doubt I'll leave anytime soon..." he smirked, now standing from his spot on the bed.

Mala frowned. She smelled better. She considered not taking showers if it would mean smelling terrible to him, but dismissed the idea almost immediately... She liked cleanliness too much, and the greasy hair and skin wasn't worth it. "Would you stop liking me so much if I started acting conformist?" She asked, her tone more quizzical and curious than anything. "I think I have a pink shirt and some make-up in my closet... It would just be a matter of hunting it down..." Messenger rang at her again; this time, Summer was asking "WTF" she was doing. Mala threw a quick and simple excuse--"Watching a movie on Youtube"--onto the screen, and the ringing ceased once more.

He laughed, scratching his head in response to her words. "Well, the farther you push someone away, the closer they'll return.." he smirked, stretching for a moment. Whether that was an actual saying or not, Dominic didn't know. He just found it greatly expressed what his reaction would be to what she thought of doing to make him go away. "So where are you going?" he asked.

Mala rose an eyebrow. "I wasn't planning on going anywhere today, actually... Take the dog for a walk, sit on the computer otherwise--there's nothing TO do. If that's what you mean." She scrunched her eyebrows in some confusion.

"Really?" he murmured, raising an eyebrow at the girl. "Wow, you boring girl....have you no life?" he questioned, stepping towards her he gave a fake sad, sad look. "You poor, boring girl..." he murmured, patting her head. "Stuck at home with a dog, a computer, and a d**n hot vampire..."

"Yeah, no life..." Mala grunted in response. She flinched back as his hand met her head, and glared. "I'm not sure I'm enjoying the hot vampire part, though," she answered, moving to stand up simply for the sake of being out from under him. It bothered her. Especially as the bite on her neck throbbed again. She moved away from him, abandoning the computer. She considered going into the living room, or jumping out the window, and wondered if Dominic would bother following...

His gaze softened on the girl, seeing her flinch away and promptly step away. Yet, his tease refused to disappear. He grabbed her hand as she moved, his eyes piercing into hers as he leaned in close, a smirk appearing on his lips as he ran a cold hand down the side of her jaw to her chin. "Not enjoying the hot vampire...do you want to.." he murmured, his breath even icy on her neck.

Mala jolted as he caught her hand, and flinched as his hand touched her face. Admittedly, the breath on her neck felt rather good--this nervous fear thing had the back of her neck sweating profusely. "What?" She moved away from him again, but couldn't pull her hand out of his. "Let go.." She grunted, tugging her hand a bit in an attempt to drag it out of his grip. In the back of her mind, she noted that she'd gone in the direction of the bedroom door, and her back was nearly against it. The normal household sounds were a sharp reminder that this was a very real situation--she could hear Vertigo wolfing down her breakfast, and her father rustling in the rats' bag of treats, and commanding one of them--Oreo?--to "dance". Spencer was shouting where Dora the Explorer needed to go next for this particular adventure. Mala shivered violently.

Dominic smiled, leaning in close, his lips were mere centimeters from hers. "What if I don't want to?" he murmured, failing to continue as he suddenly burst in small laughter, letting go of her arm as he turned and went to the darker of the corner. resting his hand on the wall as he hunched, his figure shaking. Slowly, the sound of laughter became apparent. "So..funny.." he breathed between laughter.

"You not a very nice person!" Mala snapped. She stopped dead, afraid that she might catch her father's attention (and cause him to go into unnecessary rants about sneaking in boys--or, worse, just plain getting himself hurt). It sounded, though, like Dora the Explorer had drowned her out. "What's your problem?" She snarled, her fists clenched in anger. With the distance now between them, her fear had once again drained away to be replaced by frustration and down-right fury. Behind her, a terrible, raking scratch sounded on the door. Apparently, Vertigo had heard her shouting just fine over the toddler cartoon... The scratching continued, sounding painfully like the dog's nails were ripping into the door--nothing abnormal, but still a disturbing sound. Not removing her gaze from Dominic, she reached back and twisted the doorknob. She didn't even have to pull; the pushy Dane pushed it open herself with her broad snout, and squeezed in through the door, which barely missed the dog's tail as it fell shut again. Vertigo whimpered slightly, apparently confused by the earlier shouting.
